Gov Jeb Bush Attends UCG 2nd Annual Luncheon
UCG holds an annual luncheon every year that allows people from all over SW Florida to hear about what UCG is doing to impact their community. In June 2003, Florida Governor Jeb Bush addressed a crowd of over 1000 people at the 2nd Annual UCG Luncheon. The Governor spoke about giving back to our community and how United Christian Giving has set an example of what a community can accomplish when they are united together. He impressed upon the audience that because of the grassroots effort of United Christian Giving, they were able to raise $60,000 via their UCG 2002 challenge grant campaign and award the money to over 45 Christian non -profit organizations.
Pat Boone Attends UCG 3rd Annual Luncheon
Entertainer, movie star and businessman Pat Boone was the featured speaker at the United Christian Giving 3rd Annual Luncheon in June of 2004. Pat spoke to the crowd about the importance of giving back to the community through the United Christian Giving Annual Challenge Grant Campaign and to further motivate the crowd, Pat made a financial commitment himself to UCG. Every year UCG chooses someone of Christian character and reputation to be the featured speaker at the UCG Annual Luncheon and Pat Boone hit a home run, he was absolutely wonderful. Pat had a moving personal testimony of how we cannot out give God. The crowd also had the honor to hear Pat's new song "Under God" and at the delight of the crowd he also sang one of the old time favorites "April Love"."

United Christian Giving has helped establish many $10,000 endowment funds for local Christ-centered evangelistic organizations since May of 1997. We have also awarded matching grants and scholarship endowments throughout the community. See our Past Projects for a complete listing. UCG also brings exposure to these organizations by holding informational luncheons on a regular basis.
All of these endowments are set up at the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and are open to additional contributions. The Southwest Florida Community Foundation charges 1.25% overhead which is the least expensive that we have seen anywhere in the U.S.
Our current project is to establish an endowment at the Southwest Florida Community Foundation for the Salvation Army. See our list of current projects for more information.
UCG first and foremost recommends that each person give to his or her local church before considering a donation to a UCG project. UCG is a non-denominational organization but our clear focus and purpose is to promote the person and work of Jesus Christ by financially helping local Christ-centered evangelistic organizations.
It is the goal of United Christian Giving to make sure that as much money as possible goes directly to the Christ-centered evangelistic organizations. With that in mind, a group called the Founder's Society pays for all clerical, postage, supplies, phone and advertising so that 100% of your donation goes directly promoting the person and work of JESUS CHRIST.
If someone would like to offer UCG a challenge grant where we do not get the money unless we match it, we would welcome the challenge. UCG believes in putting our money where our mouth is!
